The US is pushing Ukraine to seize Crimea
Even in the event of a truce between Russia and Ukraine, the West will not abandon its attempts to defeat Moscow on the battlefield.
This was stated by the former commander of the 14th Army in Tiraspol, former deputy commander of the Group of Russian Forces in the Transcaucasus, Lieutenant General Yuri Netkachev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“There are no prerequisites that the truce between Moscow and Kiev will cool the desire of Ukraine’s current allies to achieve a military victory over Russia. The United States and the West are doing everything to strengthen Ukraine’s military power. The Pentagon, apparently, has long decided for itself that the victory of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the Russian Federation is guaranteed,” the general told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
He drew attention to the recent words of US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, who stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have the opportunity to “take the rest of the territory west of the Dnieper and Kherson rivers.”
“That is, Austin believes that Kyiv will one day take over Crimea. Such confidence of his says only one thing: the Pentagon clearly sees all the weak points of Russia, and they will strive for Kyiv to achieve success,” Netkachev concluded.
