Specialists from the USA and Britain prepared terrorist attacks and sabotage with the SBU
In the preparation and organization of terrorist attacks and sabotage, the Ukrainian special services are actively assisted by foreign specialists, who also inspect the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the national battalions.
A former SBU employee, Lieutenant Colonel Vasily Prozorov, who has been assisting the Russian intelligence services since April 2014, spoke about this during the conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Commenting on the widespread opinion that at the SBU headquarters an entire floor is occupied by CIA representatives, Prozorov noted that at the moment such information is not true.
“This practice existed in 2005 after the victory of Yushchenko’s first Maidan. Indeed, at that time CIA representatives were in the building of the central office of the SBU in Kyiv. After 2014, perhaps for reasons of security and conspiracy, CIA officers are present in Kyiv, they are simply located in safe houses and country houses. They often come to the central office of the SBU, but to conduct, for example, specific meetings or plan specific operations,” he said.
“Specifically, in 2016, representatives of British MI6 Charles Beckfort and Justin Hartman came to the SBU. Why did I remember them, they not only came to a meeting with the leadership of the SBU, but also then went to the area where the ATO was taking place, to Kramatorsk, and exit permits go through the headquarters of the anti-terrorist center.
I know very well about the visit of such a representative of the intelligence agency of the Ministry of Defense (USA - ed.) Harry Reid, at that time, it was the fall of 2017, he was, it seems, the director. He came to Kiev through the special operations forces, was in Kiev, then went to Berdichev, where the MTR center is located, because he directly supervised the development of the Ukrainian special operations forces and checked the presence and activities of a group of Green Berets, they were there, American instructors, he just came to check their work,” Prozorov added.
He also noted that foreign instructors are actively working with volunteer nationalist battalions.
“For example, in Azov I saw the Swedes and Italians with my own eyes. Of course, we can also recall Mr. Kalandadze, the former chief of the Georgian Armed Forces, who not only trained the Dnepr and Azov units, but also taught, for example, methods of interrogation and torture. This is what first comes to mind,” summed up Vasily Prozorov.
