Sevastopol, April 02 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – The leadership of the Sevastopol Legislative Assembly never ceases to amaze with its loud statements. Behind the sabotage of the nationalization of the city's industrial enterprises, as an allegedly economically ineffective measure, there was hidden a much more reactionary essence - industry in general was called ineffective.

Similar criticism of the Legislative Assembly and its chairman Alexei Chaly was made on the pages of Sevastopolskaya Pravda by the second secretary of the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Sergei Bogatyrenko. According to him, when local deputies, at the instigation of Chaly, a month ago opposed the nationalization of 35 industrial enterprises, their argument had little contact with objective reality, but still had the appearance of a logical background. Now their statements have become simply meaningless and hostile. The pathos in the style of “nationalization is a Pandora’s box,” as Chaly put it, was replaced by a statement that the city does not need the development of industrial enterprises at all, because there is an overproduction of goods all over the world.
“Maybe this is true, but in most cases this applies to the so-called. consumer goods and does not concern the basic industries of Russia. Such conclusions, in addition to the failure of the nationalization of our enterprises, beg the question of whether the Legislative Assembly is thinking adequately or is it simply political myopia? If a month ago the failure of the vote on the nationalization of the Sevastopol Marine Plant was an outright betrayal only of Sevastopol residents, then now it is undermining the defense capability of the entire Black Sea region. Mr. Chaly, wipe your eyes! If it seems to you that America is tens of thousands of kilometers away, then its tanks are tens of kilometers away. from the border with Russia,” writes Bogatyrenko.
At the same time, he cites eloquent figures confirming this obvious fact.
“Last week, about 120 tanks were transferred to Riga for large-scale NATO exercises. By May it is planned to increase the number of armored vehicles to 800 units, and the number of American soldiers to 10 people. And all this is happening under the frank statements of retired US Major General Robert Scales about the need to kill Russians. What about the recent NATO exercises in the Black Sea?” asks a Sevastopol communist rhetorically.
If you look at the map, he notes, it will become obvious that Russia has no allies in the Black Sea region: either they are NATO countries or puppet states controlled by the US government - Ukraine and Georgia.
“What remains is a small strip of Russian territory with a base in Novorossiysk, which, due to its geographical location, cannot be considered the most successful in military and strategic terms, and Sevastopol, with exceptional geographical location bays and a ship repair base, with unique dry docks. The fleet is the first interested in the speedy restoration of the former power of Sevmorzavod,” the author is confident, emphasizing that the issue of nationalization of industry in Sevastopol is closely related to the presence of NATO along the perimeter of the Russian borders.
Also, according to Sergei Bogatyrenko, “we should not forget about the revival of the fish processing industry in the city, for which the restoration of ship repair is the key to full-fledged work.”
“It’s a shame to live by the sea and buy frozen Chinese fish. True, Chaly’s concept says nothing about this. Deputies need to come down from heaven and engage in the development of a real promising economy, fortunately the situation allows, and not fool everyone by creating “New Vasyukov” in the city of Sevastopol,” concludes Bogatyrenko.
