The Sevastopol prosecutor's office opened cases regarding fraud by a contractor and a state-owned enterprise during road repairs
Sevastopol, March 27 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The prosecutor’s office of the Leninsky district of Sevastopol conducted inspections of the implementation of legislation in the expenditure of budget funds allocated for road activities.

During the inspection, it was established that an agreement was concluded between the State Enterprise “Management for the Operation of Municipal Facilities” and the contractor, Stroyindustriya LLC, to carry out work on repairing the road surface of Khryukin, Gelovani and Kolomiets streets in the amount of over 17 million rubles.
Officials of the contractor company, in order to seize budget funds, with the complicity of officials of the State Committee for State Committees, having received an advance in the amount of more than 5 million rubles, stole the funds and did not fulfill contractual obligations.
Based on the results of the inspection, the investigative authorities initiated 3 criminal cases under Part 4 of Art. on these facts. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale).
The progress and results of the investigation are under the control of the prosecutor's office.
