Savelyev: Crimea will not be a window to the Russian market for Ukrainian companies - come and create production facilities
Moscow - Simferopol, October 21 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Shtamm) – Crimean authorities are unwilling to provide Ukrainian companies wishing to operate on the peninsula with a simple window of entry into the Russian market. Instead, they are being asked to establish businesses in Crimea, Russian Minister for Crimean Affairs Oleg Savelyev stated in an interview with Kommersant .

Ukrainian companies have a great interest in working in Crimea - this is an opportunity to avoid a general drop in turnover during the Ukrainian crisis and get a window to enter the Russian market.
“But we don’t want to encourage the funnel of goods passing to Russia,” Savelyev said. “Creating production facilities and enterprises is another matter.”
At the same time, however, the official expressed regret that “even those reasonable local businessmen who discussed investing in Crimea are now looking around: what will the SBU say, what will the consequences be?”
“But common sense will one day overcome this political story, and Ukrainian entrepreneurs will come to Crimea,” says Savelyev.
