Kyiv, September 19 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Sweden is protesting due to a “serious violation” of its airspace by Russian fighters.

Foreign Minister Carl Bildt wrote about this on his Twitter account on Friday.

According to the Swedish Foreign Ministry, the incident occurred on Wednesday in the Baltic Sea, south of the island of Åland. Two Russian combat aircraft flew into Swedish airspace. The department summoned the Russian ambassador to protest.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Kyiv they repeatedly stated that they were detecting Russian drones and planes in the border zone.
