Poroshenko attributed the catastrophic drop in ratings to Russia
Petro Poroshenko explained the catastrophic drop in his rating compared to 2014, when he was elected to the post of President of Ukraine in the first round, beating all other candidates admitted to the race, to the machinations of Russia.
Poroshenko made this statement while speaking on the talk show "Pulse" on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent . Poroshenko claims that almost 40% of Ukrainians still trust him, and this percentage could grow.

“Ukraine was the target of a very powerful attack, elements of a hybrid war, starting with fake news and ending with the activities of individual TV channels that belong to individual oligarchs who are now in Israel, but really want to return to Ukraine in order to write off the money they stole and at the expense of the state. removed from Ukraine,” Poroshenko hinted at the “1+1” channel of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
“But I would like to express my gratitude to the very responsible Ukrainians for the fact that, despite fake news from Russia, powerful criticism of the current government (not always justified), where 80% of all messages concerned me personally, almost 40% are ready to vote for me.
I admit that the communication strategy was not only poorly executed, but failed. In conditions when an avalanche of dirt is coming at you, you had to find effective information technologies to protect not yourself - the country.
Back in May-June they said that the president's rating was 4%. Then – 5%, then – 10%. Then - 14%. Then, in the elections - 16%. Now they say 38%. Friends, anything is possible! And I thank those who changed their minds and believed me,” Poroshenko said.
Poroshenko blamed Russia for his catastrophic decline in ratings.
