Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced this on his Facebook page , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I welcome the keen interest - both in Ukraine and abroad - in the supply of Javelin complexes to us. I can only confirm that yes, the long-awaited weapon has arrived to the Ukrainian troops. And it has significantly strengthened the powerful deterrent effect of our combat capability and Euro-Atlantic security. We continue to work to strengthen our defense capabilities to repel Russian aggression,” the statement said.
The Ukrainian president also declared gratitude to Washington for defending “freedom and democracy.”
“I am sincerely grateful for Donald J. Trump’s fair decision in support of Ukraine, in defense of freedom and democracy. Washington not only fulfilled our joint agreement, it demonstrated leadership and an important example.
