“I held negotiations with partners from the USA, France and Germany. The operation to get out of Debaltseve proves that there was no cauldron there,” said the Ukrainian president.
He said this when opening the meetings of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
“The Russians offered to hand over their weapons in working order, raise a white flag and leave. No one agreed to this humiliating proposal,” Poroshenko said, noting that on the eve of the withdrawal of troops he spoke with the unit commanders personally.
As PolitNavigator reported, Poroshenko previously named the exact number of security forces withdrawn from Debaltseve.
