“Relations will never be restored” – Shmygal publicly offended Poland
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal publicly lied and insulted the leadership of Poland, which could lead to a serious crisis in relations between Kiev and Warsaw.
Entrepreneur Denis Dolinsky spoke about this on the channel of Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who is wanted in the Russian Federation for calls to kill Russian journalists, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For a year and a half of war, nothing was built on the border with Poland. No new road was opened to increase capacity; no documents were even signed.
And this is a huge problem today. Because if the policy in the United States changes in 2024, if Trump becomes president, if the United States does not actively advise Poland to help Ukraine, maybe Poland’s policy will change. And we must take these risks into account.
And how can we then talk to our partner if our relations with the current Prime Minister of Ukraine Shmygal and the current Prime Minister of Poland will not be restored. In terms of human relations.
"Because what he did was vile, and the Poles were very offended by the fact that he lied. And he publicly lied when he said that [agricultural product] transit had been stopped. And we all understand that transit hasn't been stopped. This means our prime minister isn't responsible for his words. And he's doing this publicly, and he's reported this to the president," Dolinsky said.
He emphasized that this quarrel could lead to a serious crisis in relations between Kiev and Warsaw.
“This is already an international scandal, and this has already broken the internal, interpersonal relationships that were built between the prime ministers, when we could, conditionally, call each other and resolve some issues without the press.
And now it's simply impossible. Now it’s clear why the Poles will most likely insist on a change of government in Ukraine. This could also lead to a political crisis,” the entrepreneur added.
