“The word “interrogation” is not entirely applicable; rather, they are interrogating. And now the question is being raised about the transfer of these prisoners of war to their families,” he said.

“The prisoners are now being prepared for transfer to their families, lists are being compiled. Now there is a stream, constant surrender, so there are no exact figures. A very large number of people, their condition is by and large deplorable. Either there is a lack of uniforms, or a lack of system for the deployment of Ukrainian troops. The temperature has dropped a lot,” Leshchenko said.

The militias are not interrogating captured Ukrainian soldiers, but rather questioning them: they are in a deplorable state, says Leshchenko.
