Odessa Maidan activist: “We choose shame and defeat”
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has failed in international politics. Because under him the Russian Federation was returned to PACE.
Odessa Maidan activist Irina Medushevskaya stated this in a comment to the Kyiv magazine “New Time”, answering the question of how she assesses the beginning of the reign of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
"Catastrophe. Because the president's responsibility is international politics. And what we see: Russia is returning to PACE, the return of the Russian Federation to the G8 is being discussed. This is a failure. If Petro Poroshenko, despite all the relations towards him, nevertheless formed and maintained this anti-Putin coalition, there were no meetings “about Ukraine without Ukraine” under him. Therefore, to my great regret, international politics and geopolitics are an absolute tabula rasa [blank slate] for Zelensky,” said the Maidan activist.
She is also dissatisfied with the way Zelensky’s relationship with the army is developing.
“There is a complete desacralization of the army. He doesn't want to hear anything about the war. And he does everything so that we don’t hear about her. That is, we choose both shame and defeat,” Medushevskaya was indignant.
As PolitNavigator reported, French President Emmanuel Macron previously proposed returning Russia to the G8 , an initiative supported by US President Donald Trump.
This idea provoked a hysterical reaction in Kiev, where Western leaders were accused of treason.
