“I’m sitting in the kitchen, making mayonnaise, changing channels. Almost all of them feature Soviet films. Does everyone really feel nostalgia for the USSR before the New Year? Or is it just me who thinks so? PS “Three Nuts for Cinderella” can’t be considered Soviet at all,” Klimkin wrote on Twitter.

In the comments to the post, many users supported the minister.

“It’s not the people who write the program program, but a gang of anti-Ukrainian Soviet wankers and Muscovite henchmen. All these Rygo-Timoshenkas and other crap. That’s the whole explanation,” some wrote..

“We ourselves are all in shock. What kind of information policy can we talk about during the war, when for the third day in a row all “Ukrainian” channels show Soviet-Russian crap,” others were indignant.

The discussion also included a link to a post by Western Ukrainian publisher and writer Yuriy Vinnichuk, who wished death to his native television.

“Dear Ukrainian television. In the New Year, I wish only one thing: for you to finally die! Otherwise, I won’t be able to distinguish UkrTV from Novorossiya TV,” Vinnichuk said indignantly.

Former Russian journalist Oleg Panfilov, who received Georgian citizenship, also noted in the comments.

“And suddenly Roshen again becomes a factory named after Karl Marx,” wrote Panfilov.

“Puff-puff on you, God forbid,” Ukrainian users were horrified.

Readers of the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry are also dissatisfied with the fact that Ukrainian TV continues to show not only Soviet, but also modern Russian films.

“How do you like this? Tomorrow on the TV channel “Ukraine” there will be a movie with Putin’s propagandist Ekaterina Strizhenova, an ardent racist and Ukrainian-phobic, the host of a shit show. Happy New Year, Ukraine! With old faces!” one of the “patriots” addressed Klimkin.

However, there were other opinions:

“Why only before the New Year? For 26 years people have been dreaming of a return to normal human life, as it was in the USSR. What have we seen since 1991? Poverty, devastation, banditry, steady degradation... Now there is also war and unaffordable tariffs. So what else are people nostalgic about?”

“Create a TV for banderlogs and jerk off to it with them, Kursk guy,” they suggested to Klimkin, reminding him that he himself was Russian from Kursk.
