LPR Foreign Ministry: Poroshenko and Turchinov cannot escape responsibility for war crimes
Petro Poroshenko and Alexander Turchynov hope in vain to avoid responsibility for war crimes in Donbass by initiating the adoption of the law “On the reintegration of Donbass,” with the help of which Kyiv is trying to retroactively legalize the use of the army against the population of Donetsk and Lugansk.
This was stated in the Federation Council at a meeting of the South-East Support Committee. Head of the LPR Foreign Ministry Vladislav Deinego, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The law contradicts a number of norms, the Constitution of Ukraine, and contradicts international law, but, nevertheless, this is an attempt to cover up one’s crimes with this legislative act,” Deinego said.
“They consider this law as a factor that removes charges from them, although we understand that the law does not have retroactive effect and will not produce results. Those crimes that were committed against the people of Donbass, regardless of any attempts to hide behind a fig leaf, will remain crimes,” the LPR representative emphasized.
