Maidan activists demand new elections: People like Yanukovych came to power on our hill!
Kyiv, April 08 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Those who came to power as a result of the Maidan, like the previous government, are only engaged in personal enrichment. In Kyiv, developers are at the helm, destroying green areas and historical buildings. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oles Doniy stated this at a press conference.

“Unfortunately, after the Maidan, of which I was a regular participant, another part of the oligarchy came to power on our backs, which, just like the previous government, is interested in enrichment. And this system is transmitted from above to local governments, where other oligarchs also come in order to receive excess profits.
And the population, reduced to a semi-beggarly state, is not able to support parties and public organizations with their contributions. This means that parties in elections turn to the local oligarchy for support, which, lacking the appropriate cultural level, receives funds by destroying green areas and historical buildings.
And without a change of government, nothing will change. We must clearly say that they want to steal the elections from us. It was precisely those who stand behind the oligarchy, large corporations, which, among other things, are engaged in the destruction of the city, discussed the situation regarding the unconstitutional postponement of local elections from the fall of this year to next year,” Doniy said.
