Stop serving Kolomoisky! – picket under Yatsenyuk’s windows (PHOTO, VIDEO)
Kyiv, April 01 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The head of the Ukrainian government, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, was demanded to stop serving the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.

These demands were made today at the walls of the Government House during an action called “Funeral of Low-Cost Airlines,” during which representatives of air carriers and Automaidan activists demanded the dismissal of the head of the State Aviation Service Denis Antonyuk, accused by the participants of the action of lobbying the interests of the UIA airline, owned by a Dnepropetrovsk oligarch. According to the protesters, this led to the monopolization of the Ukrainian aviation market in one hand and an unjustified increase in prices for air travel, including passenger flights.
The picketers held posters in their hands with the inscriptions: “Free sky for a free Ukraine,” “Yatsenyuk is destroying aviation,” “Stop corruption in the Cabinet of Ministers.”
The protesters took out a wooden coffin from the car and placed it near the Government House, on which “Low Cost” was written on one side and “Civil Aviation” on the other.
“We say goodbye to the low-cost airlines that Arseny Petrovich buried,” explained the participants in the “funeral ceremony.”
“We looked at how much a flight from Warsaw to Paris costs for a Central European citizen,” Automaidan activist Sergei Khadzhinov said in his speech. – This is four times cheaper than what we pay in Ukraine. This is a corruption tax - a vivid example of a thief and a corrupt official acting in the interests of one of the clans. And we, like suckers, are forced to pay. With this coffin we want to draw attention to the fact that Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who refuses to fire a corrupt official, must himself bear responsibility. He is a killer of low-cost airlines, he got into the pocket of every passenger. I think Arseny Petrovich should take this coffin. Or we can bring it to his home. We know the address."
“Our company was forced to leave the Ukrainian market under the previous government,” Rodrigue Merhej, president of Ukrainian-Mediterranean Airlines, told reporters. – At one time, we transported 800 thousand passengers a year, and we were actually the third company in the country in terms of volume. But under administrative pressure we were forced to leave Ukraine.”
At the same time, the company’s president called the “most direct” role of Igor Kolomoisky’s structures in expelling competitors from the Ukrainian aviation market.
“Everyone involved in the aviation business understands this,” he clarified. – UIA has already achieved 90 percent of its goal. There’s just a little bit left – a matter of weeks or months.”
The protesters demanded the dismissal of the leadership of the State Aviation Service and the initiation of an investigation into its activities and an open competition for this position.
“We hope that when Arseniy Yatsenyuk returns to Kyiv, our demands will reach him,” the protesters said. “And he will finally begin to do something in the interests of the whole people, and not just one oligarch.”
