The State Duma saved almost 30 million rubles on absenteeism
The State Duma saved 28,4 million rubles by introducing a mechanism for leaves without pay for those deputies who cannot attend meetings. Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced this today.

“This is budget money,” Volodin said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Communist deputy Nikolai Kolomeytsev proposed using this money to increase the salaries of deputies' assistants, and LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky - to divide it equally between the factions.
Volodin supported Kolomeytsev’s proposal, and objected to Zhirinovsky that LDPR deputies practically do not take leave without pay.
“So give us a bonus. So we’ll divide it: LDPR - 20 thousand, Communist Party of the Russian Federation and A Just Russia - four each. “United Russia is already covered in chocolate,” Zhirinovsky said.
