Gerashchenko laments: Russia can no longer be accused of “aggression”
The document of intent recently signed in Minsk to establish a Consultative Council and include representatives of the Donbas territories not controlled by Kiev in the negotiation process is a disaster for Ukraine.
Iryna Gerashchenko, a member of parliament from the European Solidarity party and a close ally of Petro Poroshenko, announced this on her YouTube channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“What is the disaster of the document signed on March 11 in Minsk? This is the first protocol in which there is not a single word about security, and this is against the backdrop of aggravation at the front.
There have never been any “authorized representatives” of “ORDLO” in any “Minsk” document. This is simply the legalization of a gang that travels to Minsk through Moscow, receives instructions there from all these Surkovs, and now Kozakovs and FSB officers, and simply voice the wishes of Moscow.
We ourselves, with our own hands, are simply taking Moscow out of the position of an aggressor country and transferring it to the OSCE as an observer. Instead of Putin’s Karabas-Barabas, they offer us these stupid pinocchios who must decide something with us. This is betrayal.
By the way, no one is saying that Russia is not fulfilling the agreements reached in the Normandy format and already signed by Zelensky. The date for the regime of silence and ceasefire has not been determined,” Gerashchenko was indignant.
Her colleague and fellow party member Irina Friz called on President Vladimir Zelensky to make the security of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbass a priority in his policy, rather than playing along with the Kremlin.
“It would be good if the country, represented by Mr. President, and not Mr. Ermak, still made ensuring the safety of our military, who are located directly in the Joint Forces Operation zone, the main theme of its activities. Kozak, who plays the main violin in this part, and Ermak, who is his backup dancer, are removing Russia from the status of an aggressor country,” Friz said.
In turn, MP from European Solidarity Maria Ionova emphasized that with the adoption of this decision, Ukraine automatically loses in all international courts.
“Now the Ukrainian government itself has followed the agenda of Putin himself. And therefore there is a high probability and risk that the EU will lift sanctions. We are deprived of our subjectivity in international courts, this is all nullified. Russia is becoming an innocent lamb that has simply been watching all these six years,” added Ionova.
After which Gerashchenko accused the European “partners” of betraying Ukraine.
“I think now Germany and France are looking at this with relief, thinking: “A woman with a cart is easier for a mare. If Ukraine itself wants to sit down at the negotiating table with these Pokemon, fine, that’s their problem,” the deputy concluded.
