Filaret equated himself with Ukrainian nuclear weapons
Kyiv, October 25 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Nuclear weapons and the Church should become a guarantee of the security of Ukraine.
This was stated in an interview with the weekly Kraina by Mikhail Denisenko, who in the non-canonical UOC-KP bears the title of Patriarch Filaret. In his opinion, one of the main spiritual problems of Ukraine is the division of the Orthodox into the Moscow and Kiev patriarchates.

“If we had one Orthodox Church, there would be no annexation of Crimea and the war in Donbass,” believes Filaret-Denisenko. – The Church would educate its flock in a patriotic spirit. Where the “Kiev patriarchy” is strong, there are no separatist sentiments. Where there is weakness, there is.”
In addition, he suggested that Ukraine adopt the principles voiced by the current president of the Russian Federation.
“Putin once said that the guarantee of the security of the Russian Federation is nuclear weapons and the Russian Church,” says the non-canonical patriarch. “That’s how it should be with us.”
