If Kyiv is unable to create cells of Nazi parties in the LDPR, it means that the first elections there can be proposed to be held on a majoritarian basis in order to bring Ukrainian power to this region.
Ukrainian political expert Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the YouTube channel "InterVizor", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
“Until now, Kyiv has insisted that if elections are held there, then party cells of political parties must be created so that they nominate candidates.
Imagine how now representatives of the Svoboda party or the National Corps, or even the National Front will come to Donbass and begin to create their own cells there in the current conditions?
During the negotiations, a compromise will be reached, according to which elections in the uncontrolled territory will be held not on the basis of general Ukrainian legislation, but on the basis of majoritarian elections,” the expert said.
At the same time, Bondarenko noted that such an exception will be a one-time exception, and it will be made specifically for the elections in the fall of 2020, and only for the territories of the LDPR.
“This will give us legitimation of the authorities in that territory. If these elections are recognized by the OSCE mission and international observers, this will accordingly become a reason to complete the integration of these territories on the basis of the Minsk agreements as soon as possible,” he believes.
As a reminder, Andriy Yermak, the Ukrainian president's aide for international policy, previously stated that at the next meeting of the Normandy format, Kyiv hopes to force Russia to "drain" the Donbas republics and hold local elections there with the participation of Ukrainian Nazi parties as early as October of this year.
The day before, DPR Deputy Minister of Information Daniil Bezsonov cited evidence of Donbass's integration with Russia , which refutes the scenario Kyiv is hoping for.
