Doctor Komarovsky found the “correct model of Ukrainization”
The fairy tale “Let's Defeat Barmaley” by Korney Chukovsky, translated into Ukrainian, received more reviews and views than the original version.
Ukrainian pediatrician, writer and TV presenter Evgeniy Komarovsky said this on the YouTube channel “Yes it is,” as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I recorded Chukovsky’s Ukrainian-language fairy tale “Let’s Defeat Barmaley” with children’s drawings. I have great joy, I first wrote it down in Russian, and then my readers translated it into Ukrainian.
And what’s cool is that the Ukrainian-language version received more reviews and more views than the Russian-language version. This is a demonstration of the absolute correctness of my model of Ukrainization - Ukrainization through love...
My ideology is based on love - I love the Ukrainian language, I love my country, I want in Kharkov in the public space, in at least half, in 50% of my communication, to hear Ukrainian speech. I want it to become fashionable, patriotic, economically profitable, economically and business-friendly,” reasoned Komarovsky, apparently unaware that the secluded version of “Barmaley” turned out to be, simply, homerically funny in every word and therefore popular.
