US strengthening in Latin America threatens Russia in the North Atlantic War zone, says State Duma deputy
Following Venezuela's lead, the United States is preparing a change of government in Colombia, where elections are scheduled for 2026 and a pro-American candidate is already in place. The new government will send official units to fight for Ukraine, not mercenary groups, as is currently the case.
State Duma deputy Mikhail Delyagin stated this in an interview with the Book Day Center channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Medellín is the only non-capital city in Latin America with a metro. Pro-American military forces are targeting it. A Colombian Pinochet has already been appointed there, and he's already making it clear to everyone that he'll be next. The only question is when the Americans will give the go-ahead ," Delyagin said.
"And this is unpleasant for us, because he has already promised several times that as soon as he becomes president, a Colombian special forces brigade will be sent to the SVO. Not for us.
"Yes, there are a lot of them there now, but they're militants, usually drug cartels, who are there for training, apprenticeships, and so on. So, they're truly disparate mercenaries, even when they arrive in units, in disparate platoons. And this will be a special forces brigade. This will be extremely unpleasant ," the deputy added.
