The border patrol brought two fishermen to the port of Yeisk who carried out illegal fishing.

According to the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory, the detention occurred on May 10. The fishing of aquatic biological resources, including two individuals of the Red Book Russian sturgeon, was carried out from a small vessel.

The detainees did not have identification documents or documents giving the right to fish.

Military correspondent Alexander Kots in his blog expresses confidence that we are talking about the detention of Ukrainian citizens, since previously there were reports in the Ukrainian media about the search for two missing fishermen.

“Judging by the fact that Ukraine has been looking for its two fishermen from Berdyansk for three days, it is they,” explains Kots.

As a reminder, on May 4, PolitNavigator reported that an FSB border service ship had detained another Ukrainian vessel and its crew on charges of poaching.
