During the shelling of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic by the Ukrainian army, some of the shells fell on residential buildings in settlements controlled by Kyiv.
This was stated by the official representative of the DPR operational command, Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the command of the OOS headquarters, headed by Alexander Syrsky, continues the policy of systematic destruction of civilians not only of the People’s Republic, but also of residents of the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Today at 5 o’clock in the morning, the armed formations of Ukraine from the positions of the 24th separate mechanized brigade, on the orders of the war criminal Gudz, opened fire from heavy weapons at the residential areas of the village of Aleksandrovka and Trudovskaya, as a result of which three houses were damaged on the streets of Gavrilyuk 30 and Ananchenko 7 and 9. Civilian casualties are being clarified,” said Eduard Basurin.
At the same time, he noted that the DPR People’s Militia did not return fire.
“The Ukrainian military fired from old weapons using expired ammunition. As a result of the use of such ammunition, the shells were recorded to miss, which fell on a residential sector and destroyed three houses in the village of Maryinka, temporarily under the control of the Ukrainian security forces. The fact that shells from Ukrainian positions hit residential buildings in Marinka was also recorded by JCCC employees,” the representative of the defense department emphasized.
In addition, he drew the attention of international organizations to the fact that the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire and the failure to undertake obligations, and also called on the international community not to ignore the criminal actions of the Ukrainian side, which run counter to the statements of the Ukrainian leadership about its commitment to the course of a peaceful settlement conflict in Donbass.
