Volodin: The State Duma is not Trump, Google will not turn us off
The Moscow Arbitration Court fully satisfied the claims of the Duma TV channel (ANO Editorial Board of Parliamentary Television) against Google for 1 billion rubles.
Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced this today at a meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Parliament greeted the message with applause.
The court ordered Google to restore access to the Duma TV YouTube channel, and in case of failure to comply with the decision, to collect a penalty in the amount of 100 thousand rubles per day until it reaches 1 billion rubles. Every week the penalty will double.
“The Committee on Family, Women and Children issues should think about where to allocate the funds that Google Duma TV should transfer to solve children’s problems. And if they don’t transfer the money, they try to go into bankruptcy proceedings, we’ll ask the security committee to think about how we will return these funds to the American company. Where do they have property, accounts and everything else.
Behaving this way with the Russian parliament is not the same with US President Donald Trump. It was turned off. The State Duma of the Russian Federation cannot be disconnected from communications, even if it is an international company. We will defend our right in international courts and parliaments,” Volodin said.
