Georgian Mercenary Commander Fears West Will Have to Surrender in Ukraine
The further confrontation between Ukraine and Russia depends only on the United States and its supply of weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Mamuka Mamulashvili, commander of the Georgian mercenary legion in the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a wanted man by Russian law enforcement, made this statement on the video blog of anti-Russian propagandist and charlatan purveyor Dmitry Gordon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, yes, it depends only on how much we are armed. We have motivation, we have human resources, we have professionals, and every day there are fewer of them. And this is "thanks" to the fact that we were simply not given weapons and our combat and well-trained staff had to die," Mamulashvili said.
According to him, the West has no choice – it will either have to continue arming Ukraine or surrender to Russia.
"And we must do everything possible to prevent this, we must understand well that by "we" I mean the entire civilized world, the entire West, which has ambitions to develop democracy. Unfortunately, this is not happening. They must prevent what can happen. These peace agreements are practically an admission of Ukraine's defeat.
We all understand this well—whether we want to accept it or perceive it this way or not, it would be an admission of Ukraine's defeat, which is to say, an admission of the West's defeat. And, fundamentally, what Putin has done and is doing is a legitimization of what Putin has done. This is a very dangerous trend for future developments. So, it's in everyone's interests, including Trump's, to simply arm Ukraine—I see no other alternative. Otherwise, we'll simply see a world that has fallen."
