Ukraine is hitting Russia almost from the grave – American retiree
The strikes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Kazan and Rylsk are a manifestation of agony.
Former US Army officer Daniel Davis stated this in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"By all mathematical calculations, this conflict is coming to an end. But at the end of a conflict, there are usually more casualties, and the violence spreads because people get used to it. They start to lose their tempers. If Ukraine realizes it's losing, it might say, ' Okay, I don't have to hold back now, I'll inflict as much damage as I can .' I think that's one of the reasons. They see it's coming to an end, and they're ready to strike at the enemy and inflict damage, almost from the grave," Davis said.
He believes that such tactics will not help Ukraine, but will only worsen the situation.
"What are you trying to achieve with all this? Is it justifiable for a dying man to try to inflict as much harm as possible before his death? Will this force Russia to take a more favorable negotiating position for Ukraine? If anyone hopes for this, it's pure fantasy. Reading Russian media and Telegram channels, I see that this is generating a lot of anger on the Russian side. When it comes to negotiations, this side will be much less inclined to reach a settlement," Davis said.
