The Russian army creates, but does not close, “cauldrons”: the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already found themselves in operational encirclement 11 times
Ukrainian units have already emerged eleven times with huge losses from the semi-cauldrons created but not closed by the Russian army.
Russian liberal military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this on air on the video blog “Shiryaev and Shiryaev,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"I was interested. Will there be a full-fledged encirclement of the 79th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Yelizavetovka. But a real encirclement did not happen. There are indeed some encircled units there, but there was no large encirclement, the Ukrainians withdrew.
"If this were an isolated incident, I wouldn't even pay attention to it. But this is the eleventh time Ukrainian troops have broken out of operational encirclement. They're retreating under difficult circumstances, suffering unnecessary losses that could have been avoided with a planned withdrawal," Shiryaev said.
He stressed that, thanks to its superiority in weapons, the Russian army inflicts enormous losses on the retreating enemy.
"I define this as losses resulting from the 'Not One Step Back' order. Apparently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have such a directive, which states that every meter of ground must be fought for, regardless of losses . And these are additional, unnecessary losses.
And a whole series of such cases indicate that these are the actions of some kind of directive,” he concluded.
