Russian ATGM destroys 12 Ukrainian soldiers with one shot
Soldiers of the Ukrainian army have problems with alcohol not only in the rear, but also on the front line, which leads to additional losses.
This was stated by Andrei Krivushchenko, an officer of the Svoboda nationalist battalion, on air on the video blog of anti-Russian propagandist Yanina Sokolova, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" There is [alcohol at the front] , and it's a huge problem. It's not just present in the rear, it's present on the front lines. Near Bakhmut, we were changing units, and a guy who was leaving the trenches, got into an armored personnel carrier, drunk as a skunk, threw away his backpack, and said, 'I don't need it.' They left, and later we looked in that backpack, and there were two two-liter bottles of vodka, one half missing . So, the guy was preparing to sit in the trenches for a long time, and thus 'warm up,' or not.
There was an incident when the guys (it was a related unit) were supposed to go to the front lines. The driver of the MT-LB had consumed a fair amount of alcohol. As punishment, he was placed on top of the armor, and a young, inexperienced guy, who was driving the infantry to their positions, was put behind the wheel. This guy fell out of the "motorcycle" right near our deployment point. He came to us, we found his commander, he came to pick him up, and the first thing he did was crash into the end of the vehicle, very hard. When we found out why, it became clear. The young guy had taken the soldiers a little down the wrong road, and, unfortunately, 12 men were killed by a single ATGM shot. These are huge losses; alcohol is a huge problem, not just on the front lines ," Krivushchenko stated.
