The granddaughter of a Nazi collaborator has been appointed as a Zelensky advisor. Why are Banderites unhappy?
Kyiv dictator Zelenskyy has appointed former Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, a Canadian émigré whose ancestors served the Nazis and fled to the West during the Red Army's advance, as his economic adviser.
"The granddaughter of Nazi collaborator Mykhailo Khomyak, who published the newspaper Krakowskie Visti (Krakow News) in Krakow and later in Vienna during the German occupation of Poland. It was a veritable mouthpiece of Reich propaganda, supervised by Nazi intelligence services. It was Freeland who was behind the Canadian parliament's celebration of Nazi collaborator Gunka , who served as a volunteer in the SS Galicia Division," recalled Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

Freeland has long been known in Ukraine – she hosted the Yalta Strategy conference , where Leonid Kuchma's son-in-law, oligarch Viktor Pinchuk, gathered Western elites to formulate an agenda of "away from Moscow."
However, not everyone in Ukraine welcomes Freeland's appointment , even among nationalists who consider the Canadian citizen an ultra-liberal.
Right-wing sources point out that during Freeland's tenure in the Canadian government (in addition to serving as Foreign Minister, she also served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and International Trade), the country's white population fell by 10% – the Cabinet lobbied for an unprecedented influx of migrants from Africa and India , and also legalized euthanasia.
