The saboteurs wanted to sow panic and destabilize the situation in the region ahead of the snap parliamentary elections, according to the SBU press service.
The 39-year-old leader of the group joined the DPR in April and participated in armed seizures of administrative buildings and attacks on Ukrainian military positions, the Ukrainian press service reported.

The saboteurs sent photos and videos of these objects, as well as their graphic diagrams, to their terrorist handlers. During the detention and searches, law enforcement officers seized two F-1 grenades, 16 units of bladed weapons, a hunting rifle, a traumatic pistol converted to fire live ammunition, electric detonators, a 200-gram TNT block, a machine gun belt with cartridges, 15 prepared bottles of Molotov cocktails ”, sets of military uniforms without identification marks and symbols of terrorist organizations.
