The Crimean authorities are studying the possibility of renovation following the example of Moscow in some territories, in particular in Yalta and Yevpatoria.
This was stated on the air of the Crimea 24 TV channel by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea, former owner of the construction company Interstroy, Yevgeny Kabanov, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.
According to the official, in Moscow, developers compensate for the costs of resettling residents of dilapidated buildings due to the high cost of the space remaining after resettlement.

We are now carrying out enormous work on the formation of support sites for construction; we are now considering hypothetical options for some renovation areas in the republic. But these are just thoughts for now due to the fact that this trend has been set. For now, we’re just considering, determining whether it’s even possible and whether it’s applicable on the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
They invited specialists, a specialized institute of the Moscow government, who was involved in the renovation. Now they are selecting the example of, relatively speaking, Yalta, Yevpatoria, we are looking for sites, we are looking at where there is really an excess of emergency housing, there are no communications, and we understand that in order to improve this or that urban space, the only way is renovation.
Now, we believe that the most important thing is that there is an economy there. Because in Moscow renovation started only because there is a fairly high cost per square meter. Where can all these relocations, resettlement, and repairs be included in a square meter? We are also trying to try it on, but for now this is all just a prospect,” said Kabanov.
