According to the resource, editor Sergei Mokrushin and director Vladlen Melnikov were detained and allegedly severely beaten at the self-defense headquarters on Kirov Avenue.
Then the police arrived, and the journalists went to the Central District Department of Internal Affairs, where police officers took statements, but did not draw up a report of the interrogation. No charges were brought either, Mokrushin said.
According to him, he wrote statements about inflicting bodily harm on him in “self-defense” and illegal restriction of freedom.
It is worth noting that, starting from the dramatic events of February 26 under the walls of the Crimean parliament, during the Crimean referendum on March 16, and to the present day, the Center for Investigative Journalism has been pursuing a strict anti-Russian information policy.
