Boat fares have increased in Sevastopol
Sevastopol, May 05 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – The cost of travel on passenger boats on the route Center – North Side increased when switching to rubles due to the increased hryvnia-ruble conversion factor.

Now one trip will cost 10 rubles, although according to the coefficient of 3,0 for goods and services approved in Sevastopol in May, the ticket price should have been 7,5 rubles.
In terms of Ukrainian currency, this is approximately 3,3 hryvnia compared to the previous price of 2,5.
Portoflot (a division of Mortorgport), which services maritime passenger transportation, explained the increase in prices by recalculating prices into rubles at a factor of 3,8 based on a March order of the state administration.
With this calculation, the price of a sea ticket is 9,50 rubles, a trolleybus ticket is 4,75 rubles, and it was allowed to round the amount to the whole ruble. Citizens are surprised by the rise in prices, because due to the decrease in fuel prices, a decrease in fares was expected.
However, Portoflot employees claim that, despite the rise in fare prices, passenger transportation by boat remains unprofitable, not covering all costs.
In the future, carriers plan to increase the fare to 15 rubles.
