The Rada figured out how to cut off Mariupol from the DPR
Ukraine must take a loan of 64 million euros from France to build a water treatment plant in Mariupol, independent of the DPR.
MP from the BPP faction Maria Ionova stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At its meeting, the Committee on European Integration considered a draft law on the ratification of the agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the French Republic regarding official support for the project of providing drinking water to the city of Mariupol. You know what a difficult situation with drinking water has developed in Mariupol. This city depends on the supply of “Water of Donbass,” which is located in the temporarily occupied territory,” Ionova said.
“Therefore, ratification of this agreement will make it possible to attract 64 million euros, which will make it possible to build a modern water purification and disinfection complex in Mariupol in order to provide the population and enterprises with high-quality drinking water, and to modernize the existing water supply and drainage system, as well as create reserve sources of water supply for the city in case of emergencies.
In accordance with the agreement, the project involves the development of a master plan to improve the water supply and drainage system of Mariupol until 2040. And the loan is provided for a period of 30 years, including a grace period of 10 years,” the people’s deputy suggested.
The Rada has come up with a way to cut Mariupol off from the DPR.
