“The tree-planting ceremony was attended by Minister-Counselor of the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine Michio Harada, Rector of the Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Mikhail Zgurovsky and many others,” the message says.
“Ukrainian-Japanese relations are now in very good condition, not only because of good diplomatic relations. The Ukrainian-Japanese Center successfully operates at the KPI. These cherry blossoms are a gift not only from Japan, but also from ordinary Japanese. I hope you will admire these wonderful trees and enjoy their blossoms,” said Michio Harada.
According to the organizers of the action, the KPI became part of a large campaign called “2500 sakura”. As part of this project, Japanese national trees are planned to be planted in 20 cities of Ukraine.
