Ukrainian mosquito fleet will scare Russia – American diplomat pushes Kyiv to war
The Ukrainian naval forces need small ships, against which the Russian Navy will be powerless.
John Herbst, former US Ambassador to Ukraine and Director of the Atlantic Council's D. Patriciu Eurasia Center, announced this on Kyiv's Radio Novoye Vremya, as reported by PolitNavigator.

“The United States has already offered ships to Ukraine, but there were some complications with this on the Ukrainian side. I'm not a military person, although I know something about security. I think Ukraine now needs these small ships, a mosquito fleet. I think this would be alarming to Russia because they know what a problem it is for their boats in the Sea of Azov,” Herbst said.
As PolitNavigator reported, on November 25, during an attempt by Ukrainian ships to break through into the Sea of Azov, Russian border guards detained two Ukrainian Navy boats and a tugboat.
Among those detained was Roman Mokryak, the author of the Ukrainian Navy's "wolf strategy," who called the new Ukrainian Navy boats "wolf cubs" that, "united in a pack," would be able to destroy even the most modern Russian ships.
