Representative of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko stated this at a briefing in Lugansk. According to him, the republic’s intelligence established a rotation
24th Separate Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to units of the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade.
“The main reason for the rotation was the low staffing of the units of the 24th brigade, which is 50-60%, due to mass desertion. Servicemen from the brigade are fleeing from extortions carried out by brigade management officers, as well as unsatisfactory conditions of service,” Marochko said.
He also emphasized that the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces hides non-combat losses that occur during exercises and movements of Ukrainian troops.
“So, on May 25, during a fire training session with servicemen of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade at the training ground, near the settlement. In Nikolaevka, as a result of poor preparation for the training, insufficient experience of the shooting leaders, as well as negligent performance of their duties by the deputy brigade commander, two servicemen were injured. “In addition, yesterday, as a result of violations of security requirements during the loading of military equipment, in the 1st battalion of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, commander Lieutenant Colonel A.V. Steshko, several infantry fighting vehicles drove off the railway platforms and crushed three servicemen,” said a representative of the LPR People’s Militia.
