Ukraine is pushing Georgia to open a second front against Russia
The West and Ukraine are actively trying to push Georgia to begin military operations against Russia.
This was stated on the air of the PolitWera internet channel by Yuri Vazagov, head of the information and analysis department in the administration of the President of South Ossetia, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Vazagov, so far the experience of the 2008 war against Russia is holding back the Georgian “hot heads”.
“They are now very actively pushing Georgia to open a second front and begin military operations against Russia in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. But for now, the Georgian authorities are smart enough to be careful not to step on the same rake that Saakashvili did in 2008. They understand perfectly well that this could end in very sad consequences for Georgia. Therefore, they behave quite restrainedly and react quite emotionally to accusations from the Ukrainian side.
Ukraine accuses them harshly, quite unpleasantly, they say, “you are playing with double standards, you don’t support us, although we supported you in 2008”... The official authorities are still behaving quite restrainedly. And the Georgian opposition - yes, the degree of anti-Russian hysteria there is off the charts, mass actions are regularly held in support of Ukraine, funds are being raised to purchase the same drones or other equipment for the Ukrainian army.
That is, this Georgian opposition is rampaging, there is direct support from Western countries, which are also actively trying to push Georgia to join sanctions against the Russian Federation,” Vazagov said
