Ukraine is incapable of creating a nuclear bomb , and such weapons could only be delivered to its territory in ready-to-use form. However, that would raise the issue of nuclear warhead carriers , which Ukraine also lacks.

Yuri Braslavsky, associate professor at the Sevastopol State University's Institute of Nuclear Energy, announced this on the air of Channel One Sevastopol , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The fact is that in Ukraine in its current state there are no conditions for creating nuclear weapons. And the statements that the German publication allowed itself, quoting a Ukrainian official, that they are capable of creating a bomb in a few weeks, it is not clear who they are intended for.

If Ukraine had any experience developing nuclear weapons on its own, it would have conducted nuclear tests , because no one would risk using them without testing. And now, given the current state of Ukrainian industry and other sectors of the economy, claims that "we'll make a nuclear bomb tomorrow" are aimed at the very optimistic masses of Ukraine's supporters," the expert noted.

He added that the nuclear reactors at Ukrainian nuclear power plants are not designed to produce nuclear warheads. Therefore, nuclear weapons could only appear on Ukrainian territory if they were delivered ready-made.

"Even if such weapons appear in Ukraine, how will they be delivered to their target? What kind of delivery vehicles does Ukraine have? Will they attach a nuclear bomb to a drone ? Well, that's a fairy tale for children."

And Mr. Zelensky’s statement about nuclear weapons is nothing more than an attempt to manipulate his curators: if you don’t take us into NATO, we will start nuclear research.

Another issue is that we should be wary of some kind of provocation at operating nuclear facilities in both Ukraine and our country. There is some kind of threat here," Braslavsky concluded.
