The Federation Council of the Russian Federation appealed to the world's parliaments with a demand to condemn the actions of the Kyiv authorities related to the constant shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

“Since the transition of the nuclear power plant to Russian control, the station has been subject to constant missile attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, we are on the verge of disaster.

The Federation Council of the Russian Federation appealed to the world's parliaments with a demand to condemn the actions of the Kyiv authorities related...

In case of damage, the radioactive contamination zone could be more than 200 kilometers. At the same time, the West is not trying to influence the leadership of Kyiv in any way. And Russia’s attempts to influence this with the help of the IAEA mission were also unsuccessful,” said Vice-Speaker of the Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov.

Political scientist Marat Bashirov points out:

“In fact, the IAEA is acting in concert with the Ukrainian authorities on the issue of shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. On the one hand, the organization admits the shelling of the station and talks about critical damage, on the other hand, it does not admit who is shooting at it, although it knows that it is the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Thus, the IAEA is pushing Moscow to transfer the station under the control of Kyiv, they say, hand it over, and the shelling will end.

There is a parallel in this with the case with the missiles that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used to strike the territory of Poland. Kyiv refuses to admit that it did this, and Poland remains shamefully silent, despite the death of its citizens and the clear provocation on the part of Kyiv to drag NATO into a direct clash with Russia.”

However, it seems that the Kremlin did not succumb to blackmail.

It has become known that Igor Murashov, who was convicted of collaborating with the SBU and deported to Ukraine ( and why wasn't he convicted under Russian law? ), has been replaced as director of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant by former chief engineer Yuriy Chernichuk.

Advisor to the General Director of Rosenergoatom Renat Karchaa on the Rossiya 24 TV channel clarified:

“The entire management team, including the chief engineer, his deputies and generally all the key positions, today at the station are occupied by representatives of the previous team who entered into a contract with the operating company, so I suggest that the gentlemen on the other side of the river and their supervisors finally calm down.”

Political scientist Sergei Markov sees a positive aspect in the personnel changes.

“Now only Rosatom employees work here. Former employees of Energoatom of Ukraine signed an agreement with Rosatom. Those who have not signed the new agreement are no longer allowed into the station. This means that the negotiations between Russia and the IAEA-USA failed,” Markov wrote in his tg channel.

Military correspondent Olga Kurlaeva agrees with his assessment.

“I think we can close our mouths about the “surrender of the station.” ZaTES get ready,” she comments.

Kurlaeva also noted that recently residents of Energodar have been writing to her “ no longer hiding their first or last name .”
