Sevastopol will be cleared of illegal billboards

In June, the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning issued 48 orders to dismantle 324 unauthorized advertising structures. Instructions have been issued for the forced dismantling of 110 advertising structures.

This was announced today at a staff meeting in the government of Sevastopol. Department Director Andrey Popov.

Sevastopol Governor Sergei Menyailo proposed creating a special department in the government that would deal with outdoor advertising.

“It is necessary to create a division that will clarify the placement scheme of advertising structures and monitor the implementation of this scheme, as well as the content of advertising. And let them do the demolition too. This is the most pressing issue today. Advertising posters are glued to city lights. Find out who is the boss. There is no owner - demolish it. In some places we demolished ownerless billboards, and in others they still stand,” Menyailo said.
