“We will do everything to be perceived as one of our own,” Ovsyannikov led the “Varangians” to Sevastopol
The Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol today at its session unanimously approved 5 vice-governors proposed by acting governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov. Among the vice-governors there is not a single Sevastopol resident.
Ilya Ponomarev - from Udmurtia, Dmitry Gladsky and Vladimir Bazarov - from Surgut, Vyacheslav Gladkov and Yuri Krivov - from the Penza region.

Speaking before the legislative assembly, Ovsyannikov thanked the deputies for their support and promised that his team will do everything “so that the people of Sevastopol perceive us as one of their own.” He complained that he had to form a government in a short time due to the fact that its previously serving members resigned.
“I did not set myself the task that my deputies should not be from Sevastopol. Within a month, we will announce a competition for the personnel reserve for the positions of department directors and deputy governors in order to grow people and move them up the career ladder. So that Sevastopol residents govern their city,” Ovsyannikov said.
Ovsyannikov was appointed acting governor of Sevastopol at the end of July. After this, Deputy Governors Alexey Eremeev and Alexander Reshetnikov submitted their resignations. Later, their example was followed by two more vice-governors, natives of Sevastopol: Alexander Pushkarev and Evgeny Dubovik. Eremeev and Dubovik were in conflict with Alexei Chaly’s team in the Legislative Assembly.
