The Russian army rubbed NATO's nose in the fight against the epidemic
The Russian army has extensive experience in fighting infectious diseases, which cannot be said about the armies of NATO member countries.
Military expert and chemical science candidate Oleg Zheltonozhko stated this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to the expert, since the times of the Soviet Union, Russia has retained special units of radiation, chemical and biological protection troops; the army has accumulated large mobilization resources and reserves, including in case of war with the use of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. NATO countries do not pay as much attention to their own similar services.
“They can make the same machines without a doubt. They are the most ordinary, almost like firefighters. No technological breakthroughs are required to create them. The question is in the approach: we know how to do this, but they don’t. At our military exercises, we often practice methods for disinfecting and decontaminating equipment, protecting personnel, disinfecting and decontaminating the area. So here it’s a matter of experience that we have, but they don’t, since they don’t even have such a task,” Zheltonozhko noted.
He also emphasized that today Russian military specialists are successfully strengthening their skills in the fight against coronavirus in Italy and Serbia.
“If necessary, they can start processing the environment in which people are located. This is what our specialists in Italy are doing: preparing medical premises for the sick, disinfecting surfaces, roads, buildings, cleaning furniture, floors... Everything where there are some noticeable areas of contaminated areas,” the expert said.
The Russian army has outdone NATO in the fight against the epidemic.
