A drunken SBU officer with a hammer staged a bloody bacchanalia in Kyiv
In one of the dormitories for law enforcement officers in Kyiv, an inadequate SBU officer attacked two unknown men with a hammer. As a result, one of the victims died in hospital from head injuries.
This was reported on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We just stood there and talked. A man came out and started addressing us aggressively. We thought he was drunk. He started telling us that we were nobody, why we were standing here,” said eyewitness Evgeniy Burdelny.
After that, the drunken stranger went to get a hammer and began beating the young people. One of them was hit in the head with a hammer, after which he fell into a coma and died in the hospital.
The SBU officer who killed the man was detained and is now in a pre-trial detention center. However, acquaintances and relatives of the deceased fear that the criminal will escape punishment - he had previously committed similar crimes, rushed at people with an ax, but the “office” helped its employee avoid punishment.
“In 2020 alone, in addition to the crime committed, this person committed four more offenses - causing bodily harm, driving while drunk, and committing an accident. And also his wife repeatedly reported to law enforcement officers that he repeatedly commits physical violence against her and threatens to kill her.
It’s not clear how this person can even work as a law enforcement officer, in the SBU,” said the victims’ lawyer Yuriy Bezzubets.
They “excused” the criminal very cynically. Thus, it became known that a year earlier, an SBU officer in the same place smashed the head of another person with an ax for “talking too loudly.” Fortunately, the victim survived.
“More than a year has passed. They did not call me or the witness for questioning. Nobody contacted me. And then I find out that my case is closed by agreement of the parties. I didn’t agree with anything, I didn’t give permission to close the case,” said the victim Alexander Sidorenko.
The TV channel also noted that the SBU does not comment on the actions of its employee in any way - they do not even report whether he was fired or not.
