The check found that 250 children of ATO militants in a camp near Berdyansk were poisoned by buckwheat
An outbreak of acute intestinal infection in the Lazurny children's camp in Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region, as a result of which 250 years of ATO militants were poisoned, most likely occurred due to the consumption of buckwheat porridge, which was on the menu for dinner on July 18 and for breakfast on July 20 .

This was reported by the press service of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Common pathogenic microorganisms that cause acute intestinal infections – Klebsiella pneumoniae, Klebsiella oxytoca – have been isolated from porridge. The same pathogens were found in 14 sick children. In addition, Klebsiella pneumoniae was isolated from a catering cook, who can be considered the source of the infection. Also, Klebsiela pneumoniae was isolated from various items in the catering unit - tableware, staff hands, kitchen utensils,” the report says.
The lab center also noted that gross violations of the sanitary regime were recorded in the catering unit of the children's camp.
“Failure to comply with sanitary rules led to microbial contamination of food products,” the press service reported.
The investigation materials from the laboratory center were transferred to the prosecutor's office.
As previously reported by PolitNavigator, on July 20, 30 children were hospitalized following a mass poisoning at the Lazurny children's camp in Berdyansk, Zaporizhia Oblast. The Berdyansk City Council press service reported that as of July 19, there were 261 children at Lazurny, whom the sanatorium was not authorized to accept for treatment, as previous inspections had found the facility to be non-compliant with legal requirements. Meanwhile, ATO volunteers posted on social media that 250 children of ATO militants vacationing at the camp had been poisoned.
