The President and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia initiated criminal cases against themselves
The deputy chairman of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, Milos Vucevic, and a deputy from the Socialist Movement, which is headed by Interior Minister Djordje Komlenski, filed statements today with the Republican Prosecutor's Office against President Aleksandar Vucic and Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin.

Thus, Vučić and Vulin responded to accusations from the pro-Western Freedom and Justice Party of oligarch Dragan Djilas, as well as pro-Western media outlets KRIK, Birn, and N1, that the president and the minister of internal affairs were closely linked to the Veljko Belivuk (Veli Nevoli) criminal clan, against which a powerful criminal case began to unfold during Vučić's tenure.
In response, the pro-Western media began to unanimously accuse Vucic and Vulin of having connections with bandits, declaring that the authorities patronized them, but after a quarrel they decided to imprison all members of the criminal clan, who are accused, among other things, of brutal murders and drug trafficking. Some representatives of the press went so far as to begin to present the bandits as almost “victims of the regime.”
In response, Vučić and Vulin invited the prosecutor’s office to establish whether they had connections with the Belivuk clan, while the Serbian president agreed to go through a lie detector.
“Within a few days, although we were the ones who faced all the dangers of confronting this powerful criminal group, we managed to prevail and ensure that the indictment was confirmed and the court accepted it and as a state did its job in the best possible way so that our the streets were free of the presence of such criminals who threatened people's lives on a daily basis. It is incredible to me that people who know what this criminal group has done have been campaigning for several days and exclaiming: “Will the prosecutor listen to them?”...
It's like they don't know what's true and what's not. And so we listen to these disgusting lies for five days, and then we say: “Okay, we will put up with it, because it is difficult and shameful for us that you are not ashamed to work every day in the oligarchic media.” No problem, here lawyers and lawyers will file criminal charges against us, I am ready to go through the detector, I am sure that Vulin is ready for this. The only question is how did you get to this point?” Vucic commented on the situation.
