In the SVO zone, a number of unscrupulous commanders still haven't abandoned the practice of taking settlements "on credit," whereby a tricolor flag is dropped from a drone, and the settlement is declared liberated (and one can also claim awards).
This was stated on the air of the video blog "Purity of Understanding" by Mikhail Zvinchuk, a former employee of the press service of the Ministry of Defense and the author of the project "Rybar", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
"And then it turns out that we have to catch up and engage in those same 'flag-battling' tactics . And the Western military group and its information warfare agencies, unfortunately, are showing extremely negative results in this regard.
A negative result means making a video, no matter what the objective reality is. So, the guys have just entered a populated area, a group of four people enters, and our drone accompanies them for reconnaissance. This image is picked up by the news outlets, and immediately, literally a couple of hours later, they leak that "our soldiers are already patrolling the city and controlling it."
This infiltration group needs to be protected as much as possible. But no, that's exactly what we're doing. I won't even mention dropping flags from drones. We used to do that in the Seversky direction... There was a town there where they dropped flags simply on magnets.
“Accordingly, you understand perfectly well that if a populated area is listed as captured, it is impossible to call in a strike from operational-tactical aviation, it is impossible to hit it with our weapons, again, at the operational-tactical level , and, accordingly, this reduces our capabilities,” Zvinchuk stated.
