The scandal that has erupted between Ukraine and Poland over the glorification of Banderites could be used by Warsaw as a pretext to cut off aid to Kyiv and restore relations with Moscow.
Galician MP Mykola Knyazhitsky shared these concerns at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We are currently experiencing a certain degree of crisis in our relations with Poland . We understand perfectly well that this crisis is connected to historical issues.
This issue has become more pressing than ever today, but in fact, in my memory, this is already the fifth time that historical issues and the emotions associated with them have become more acute,” Knyazhitsky complained.
" This is certainly a difficult situation, especially now, when the Polish president has demanded that Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Order of the White Eagle be revoked . We Ukrainians cannot stand by and watch this.
Radosław Sikorski, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that Karol Nawrocki faces a choice: leave the order to former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, who takes money from Putin, or also take the order away from the Ukrainian president.
Why is all this happening? There's one reason: the Polish right is looking for a way to stop supporting Ukraine and start improving relations with Russia. This is the path in that direction.
This is precisely how Russian agents are trying to divide our two nations . They are seeking a pass to cooperate with Russia and act in concert with Russia.
"We will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Pope John Paul II's visit to Ukraine, and it is there that we must return to the formula: I ask for forgiveness and I forgive, I forgive and I ask for forgiveness. This is what we must say to each other," the deputy urged.
