A million people need to be mobilized in Russia to break through the front.
To break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses and advance on a broad front through the kill zone, the Russian army needs to mobilize another million people, who must undergo training and combat coordination for a year.
Mikhail Zvinchuk , a former Defense Ministry press service employee and author of the Rybar project, stated this on air on the video blog "Purity of Understanding," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"They just announced that anyone who signed a contract starting May 1st will be exempt from ten million rubles in loan payments. This measure demonstrates that they're always looking for some creative solution to avoid declaring mobilization. Because mobilization, especially during an election cycle , is fraught with risks ..."
There's a lot of debate and discussion about mobilization. In fact, my colleagues and I discussed this at one point. The only viable option, which is unacceptable in the current situation, is to declare a year-long mobilization , mobilizing approximately a million people, forming fully-fledged units that would be equipped, coordinating, and so on.
"Which will enter as a united front, pushing the kill zone ahead of them, and then get going . But that's impossible now ," Zvinchuk said.
In his opinion, there are enough contract soldiers to conduct the air defense in the current mode.
"I periodically drive by the Timiryazevskaya area and see the recruitment center on Yablochkova Street— it 's packed . It's the same here in Balashikha; there's plenty of people," Zvinchuk said.
